Great Blogs and Books

Websites I Love

Skinnytaste is the first food blog I've ever followed religiously. Every recipe she makes perfectly balances delicious and health-conscious!

I have a minor obsession with food trucks... ok, major. I want a food truck-catered wedding. Behind The Food Carts is a fab way to see food trucks from around the country!

In It 4 The Long Run is written by my good friend Georgie! It's an all-around fitness blog, and she has some AWESOME veggie recipes.

If you talk to me for even 5 seconds, you'll know of my love for Food Network star Ina Garten. Her blog is great, and shows just how fabulous she really is.

Clotilde Dusoulier is a Parisian food writer who is obsessed with fresh, healthy ingredients. Her blog Chocolate and Zucchini is amazing, and so are her stories of Paris!

www.FoodNetwork.com is an amazing resource, especially for a FN-obsessor like myself. I love reading the comments: users always have creative add-ins to existing recipes.

Go-To Cookbooks

Blogger-turned-star Drummond makes cooking so simple, and the Malted Chocolate Chip Cookies? OMG.

She's my favorite celebrity chef because of her love for simple ingredients: her first recipe is for tomato slices on an english muffin with cheddar cheese. She's too cool.

I mentioned her blog above, and this cookbook is such a standout for me. She makes vegetables the star of a dish, not only a side.

Ithaca Farmers Market Cookbook by Michael Turback
I go to school in Ithaca, and I have fallen in love with the "locavore" mentality of the city. This cookbook uses products found at Ithaca's famous Farmers Market, and really sums of the local color of this adorable town!
